Our Story
Born from tragedy.
Built on courage.
In 1997, a failed rescue at sea revealed the urgent need for a local search and rescue service. From that moment, ABSAR was born. What started as a small group of volunteers has grown into Antigua and Barbuda's official search and rescue organization — operating 24/7 to protect life on land and at sea.
