ABSAR currently has only one portable AED per base to share among over ten community first responders. This slows down response times and complicates coordination.

We rely on donated equipment that comes primarily from Yachts, this usually happens when a Yacht is about to replace a kit and brings their old one to us. we do our best to put all that equipment to use, but we have found the majority of what is in that kit is geared towards 1 time use, not repeat use like we need.

ZOE 740SELECT™ with XM0E0 Monitor with NIBP, Masimo® SpO2, ECG
Monitoring equipment is not a typical item to be on yachts and would does not get donated. It is an important tool to be able to get an accurate image of what is going on with a patient but due to its cost we have not been able to purchase one. Our current monitors are very outdated and impractical.
